How We Use Your Data
To answer you and run your account — never for ads or selling.
We use your data to generate Aira's answers, document summaries and voice replies, to keep your conversation history in your account, to manage your subscription, and to provide support.
AI Processing by OpenAI
Who generates Aira's answers, and what they receive.
Aira's answers are generated by OpenAI, a third-party AI service. To answer you, we send OpenAI your messages and earlier messages in the same conversation, documents and photos you upload, your voice during live voice conversations, and your language and response-style settings.
OpenAI processes this data only to generate Aira's responses, as our service provider under OpenAI's API business terms. Those terms require OpenAI to keep your data confidential and secure, not to use it to train its models, and to delete it after at most 30 days of abuse monitoring, so your data receives the same or equal protection as described in this policy. Your password and payment details are never sent to OpenAI.

Encrypted in transit and at rest; kept until you delete it.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your conversations and document summaries stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Live voice audio is streamed directly to OpenAI to generate Aira's replies and is not stored on our servers. We avoid storing personal identifiers we do not need.
HIPAA Alignment
Best practices followed; enterprise options available.
While not a covered entity under HIPAA, NeuroMed Aira aligns with HIPAA best practices for handling medical information. For enterprise or clinical use, we offer HIPAA-compliant infrastructure where applicable.
Your Rights & Choices
Export, delete, or stop AI sharing at any time.
In the AiraMed app you can export your data (Settings → Export my data), delete your account and everything in it (Settings → Delete account), and withdraw AI data sharing (Settings → AI data sharing). You can also email us to access, correct or delete your data.
